Phoenix History

Phoenix was founded in 2000 with a focus on developing custom applications to a diverse customer base, across multiple disciplines including: Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals and Publishing.

With experience that spans 25+ years and a wide spectrum of industries, Phoenix' Founder, Tom Mulé combines exceptional IT talent with a wide range of organizational, financial and human resource skills. He has the experience to assist you on every level of your project, from initial budgeting to systems design, strategic planning, and even senior staff recruiting and development.

Prior to starting Phoenix, Tom was Director of Financial Systems at Random House, Inc. where he led many development efforts including the implementation of SAP as well as major data warehousing initiatives. He was responsible for the design, development and support of all financial applications, including A/P, G/L, Royalty System, Budgeting System, Inventory Control & Sales Forecasting.

Previously, Tom was Director of Systems Support at Macmillan Publishing, where he was responsible for all financial systems and Macmillan's Sales Force automation project. Tom has also held similar IT roles at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company and Grumman Aerospace Corporation. He graduated in 1984 from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook with a degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics.
